Vertafore announced today that it has acquired QQ Solutions based in Deerfield Beach, FL. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
QQ Solutions offers a comparative rating platform as well as a web architected SaaS-based agency management system – QQ Catalyst.
All of QQ Solutions’ 65 employees will join Vertafore and Mark Malis – current CEO – will continue to run the company from its current location in Florida.
The QQ comparative rating platform has its largest number of users in Florida and Texas. This acquisition will help Vertafore’s PL Rating platform have a stronger presence in those states. The addition of the nationwide presence of PL Rating as well as its large inventory of carriers will provide current QQ solution customers with expanded capability.
The acquisition of the QQ Catalyst agency management system helps Vertafore fill a need in their product offering for the smaller agency. The company had previously announced the sunsetting of several legacy agency management systems. Previously, the only migration path for those agencies was to the AMS360 platform. The QQ Catalyst platform will provide another viable option — especially for smaller organizations.
One of the unique offerings of QQ Solutions is its QQ Catalyst Marketplace. Because the company provides an open API other service providers can provide functionality directly into the platform. QQ Catalyst customers can choose the apps and tools they want to use with the agency management platform.
